ny Ericsson has already proudly announced that their upcoming 12-megapixel Idou touchscreen phone will come loaded with the Symbian Foundation’s operating system, and this latest news serves as an affirmation.

The Symbian Foundation has now made public the roll out schedule for their operating system, with version 2 coming out later this year. Versions 3 and 4 are both slated to come out for next year. Considering that version 1 wasn’t included in the timetable, we’re guessing that the Idou will be one the few devices that will come loaded with the pioneering version which could be released sometime in mid-2009. As far as features are concerned, they’re pretty much keeping everyone in suspense by not releasing any info on its capabilities.

Anyway, we’ve still got a long way to go before it actually debuts so we’re expecting more details to surface as the months go by.
