Cricket Wireless has a new phone in its offering, Samsung r211, which as you can see from the image above is as simple as a phone can get. 3G data is out and so is a decent screen. Rather, this entry-level device comes with a 128×128 pixels screen which should provide just enough space for SMS reading/sending and calling information. So if you need any — and by all means I mean “any” — serious mobile phone function - look further.
Cricket is selling the r211 for $89.99 without any contract-signing requirements, which is still kinda steep for “a number of features” the device offers…
