Virgin Mobile announced that it will soon be releasing the new Kyocera X-tc mobile handsets. This sleek looking mobile device features a slide-out QWERTY keypad which is geared for mobile users who are heavy users of text messaging. Slated for a release in April, the Kyocera X-tc mobile phone will retail for $99.99 free of any obligation from Virging Mobile through its Pay-As-You-Go plans.

The Kyocera X-tc mobile phone can also be purchased through Virgin Mobile USA’s monthly plans for $24.99 and it comes with a $10 unlimited messaging.

The phone’s key features include a 1.3MP camera, 2.4-inch TFT QVGA screen, stereo bluetooth, microSD card slot that supports upt to 8GB of storage, 500 contacts capacity, voice recognition, music player with dedicated music keys and playlist management, SMS/MMS/Photos/IM support, predictive text input and web browsing capability with direct links to social networking sites.

A good feature of the Kyocera X-tc mobile phone is the inclusion of some applications which lets you published content to the web directly using the phone. It has Facebook application that lets you upload photos to your Facebok profile, send notes, and update your Facebook status. It also has the Headliner application which is a mobile music magazine that delivers you information about music tracks. It also sends you the latest news about music artists.

If you’re into content downloading, the Kyocera X-tc also offers some good stuff to download on the phone including ringtones, games and graphics.

The Kyocera X-tc provides 250 minutes talk time and 200 hours standby time.
