Samsung has always been prolific when it comes to low-end phones, so it’s no surprise that, today, two new basic handsets that bear the South Korean manufacturer’s brand have surfaced.
I’m talking about Samsung E1410 and Samsung E1117, both of which are candybars that will probably be successful in markets like India, China and Russia.
Neither of the new phones has a photo camera or an MP3 player, so I guess that Samsung will be selling them for less than $100 each.
What’s nice about the E1410 is that its 1000 mAh battery is said to last up to 11.5 hours in talk-time mode, or up to 546 hours in standby mode.

Other than that, the known specs of Samsung E1410 include:
*
Dual band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 MHz) with GPRS
*
1.63 inch CSTN display with 128 x 128 pixels and 65K colors
*
4MB of internal memory
*
108 x 46 x 15.3 mm
The features of Samsung E1117 are somehow similar:
*
Dual band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 MHz) with EDGE
*
1.63 inch CSTN display with 128 x 128 pixels and 65K colors
*
FM radio
*
900 Kb of internal memory
79 grams
*
106.4 x 45 x 15.4 mm
And a 1000 mAh battery that might have talk and standby times similar to the ones of Samsung E1410’s battery
Samsung gave no details about the release of E1410 and E1117, but the phones will probably be available in the next few months.
