First, the basics. This is a dual-band GSM phone with a 1.3 megapixel camera, an FM radio, 240 x 320 pixel display, Bluetooth, an email client and web browser.. and that's really it. There's no expandable memory or MP3 player, and the phone really doesn't compete very well with the slightly more expensive Nokia 5130 XpressMusic.
It isn't a particularly good looking phone either. Previous "Supernova" handsets have been very stylish, but the 7100 simply doesn't compare with the attractive 7610 Supernova. At 104 grams, it is quite heavy and the maximum talktime is just 3.5 hours.. which is pretty short.
In all honesty, it's a pretty good value phone, but Nokia have several handsets that offer significantly better value for money than this. Nokia say that the 7100 Supernova should be available before the end of the year in red, blue and black colour combinations.
